Lovely Laurette wants to marry Silvio the soldier—but her dad, the Mayor, says there’s no way he’ll permit the wedding. But when His Honor sends the young man packing, Silvio springs into action!

First, he disguises himself as a valet and gets hired as the family’s cook. Then, he prepares the “perfect” French omelet that’s anything but! Finally, disguised as Dr. Miracle, he arrives on the scene with the antidote to the awful egg concoction, promising to “save” the family from supposed food poisoning provided he can marry Laurette.
